The quote at the beginning is a verse from the Holy Qur'an.
As a believer in the Qur'an, this verse explains to me that having different people of different shapes and backgrounds was of Gods wisdom, for He made these wonderful distinctions so that we may get to Know each other, Learn from each other and Appreciate one another.
NOT that we may despise.
The verse then sets the criteria and explains who is to be seen as Honourable.
With no doubt, the verse explains, the most honoured are those who have an open heart and a live conscience that helps them determine Right from Wrong.
Those are the honoured ones in Gods eyes, no race, colour or social status affects that.
O Humankind, we have created you of a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes that you may know each other (Not that you may despise), Surely the most Honoured of you in Gods eyes is the most righteous of you. Surely, God is All-Knowing, All-Aware. - [49:13]
