Just over two years ago she was a small-town mayor, but now Sarah Palin, Alaska's 44-year-old governor and mother of five, is the Republican's first female vice-presidential candidate.

She was presented to the party faithful at a rally in Dayton, Ohio during the Republican's convention.

John McCain said Palin was exactly what he needed to complete the party's ticket.

But his choice, has raised a few eyebrows because of her relative inexperience.

  • Anything to get the votes, what a fucking tool. If McCain wins, there's something very wrong with America....even more than I suspected.

  • Takes the first black DNC candidate for the Repubs to finally nominate a female candidate.

I'd be a little insulted if I were female

  • Sarah Palin's got "It"..Obama has arrogance.

  • I am offended that he thinks people will vote for her just because she is a woman. -.-

  • Searching for latest progressive or maybe rock tracks in MP3? Saints Of Los Angeles Motley Crue - Saints Of Los Angeles Rihanna - Good Girl Gone Bad

    Just replace # with .

  • Sarah is a maverick and has guts - she's inclusive appointing Dems, Repubs and Independents, she got rid of self interest in her own party and she went up against big oil- she shook things up in Alaska and will shake things up in Washington - she's exactly what we need - a woman of ACTION !!!!

  • McCain chose her because he wants to attract the embittered Hillary supporters who cared more about seeing a woman in office than breaking away from Bush's policies.

By the way, if McCain is willing to keep troops in Iraq for 100 years, is he confident he'll be around before his presidential term is even finished? LOL

  • She has barely experience in local policy. Being the governor of Alaska? I mean really, that state pretty isolated. She probably has little experience with pressure from cooperate powers. :/

Who cares if she is a woman? She is not qualified and it's kind of insulting in making her a 'Hilary replacement,' as if her merit is equal to hers, not only to Hilary, her supporters but to women in general.

  • hahahahhah!!!

....and I'm a peaceful, loving, caring... 'liberal'

  • Do you realize you just said women don't put on makeup and wear dresses for attention?

"Her name", her family name, same thing, she shouldn't have left it.

Lastly, I think you need to look up the definition of virtue, because I can promise you it has nothing to do with long hair. Feminism, maybe, virtue, no.

  • She looks exactly like this girl who stalked me a few months ago.

  • She doesn't "need" to wear a dress & makeup - she WANTS to.

No bigger an attention whore than Obama - A mini Greek temple in a mega football stadium? Please. She's not doing this for attention.

She doesn't belong to her husband. She belongs to her family, another sign of virtue. It wasn't "her name" in the first place, it is her dad's, who, by the way, is a man.

Long hair is a female virtue since the beginning of civilization. Totally feminine. Short manly haircut is, well, manly.
