Tatanagar/ Hatia- Jammu Tawi Express departs and Sealdah Express arrives at Amritsar Junction

18101 Tatanagar/ Hatia Express (Hatia portion now extended till Rourkela) headed by Ludhiana WDM-2 (no.??) gets ready to depart from Amritsar Junction (towards Pathankot Junction) after getting a loco change and rake reversal. And on the same time, "Middle Engine" 17382R WDM- 3A of Shakurbasti (SSB) shed (ex- Tughlakabad shed) brings the empty rake of 12380 Amritsar Junction- Sealdah Weekly Superfast (W.B. Sampark Kranti/ Jalianwala Bagh) Express.. In the background, 13005 Howrah Junction- Amritsar Junction Mail, which was bought in by a Ghaziabad shed WAP-5 (no.??) was standing. I had mixed emotion on seeing the engine.... Though I felt funny how the loco kept on shunting from platforms to platforms with the HCPV attached to it, yet felt sad on thinking that the loco, which had the reputation of hauling the PALACE ON WHEELS upto Jaisalmer, is now carrying the tag "Only fit for shunting" over it.
