@wcbroccoli Hey, I've surprised people when I've explained that with some Pipe Organ pieces you're playing 5-6 parts at the same time.

@roderickingermany Indeed. I find many Americans are also surprised to learn that two hands can play more than two voices at the same time.

@wcbroccoli i find the second party of your reply very interesting. i still remember that i told a german some of Bach's Fuges are 3 or 4 voices. he was surprised and asked me," 4 voices??????? how will you play it with 2 hands.???" hahahaha

@askaninja6 Perhaps the word you're looking for is "illusion", not "delusion". In either case, there's neither and illusion nor a delusion of "perfect harmony", by which I assume you mean triadic harmony. You can create triadic harmony with only 1 voice.
Where do you get the idea that a fugue consists of only 2 voices? Do you think that because the player has only 2 hands that he can only play 2 voices?
Don't you realize that this is a 4-voice fugue?

@Malachayas He already did that in the actual prelude to this fugue.

@yiprock
The strings of a harpsichord are plucked, not banged.
The strings of a piano are banged (hammered).
