  • You do realize that the Armenian Orthodox, Ethiopian Orthodox, and Coptic Orthodox Churches are not actually "Orthodox" right? A lot of the vestments you showed actually belong to them, and they are not in communion with us.

  • @AGDIRGIA Yes, I'm very familiar with the Chalcedonian schism; that's really not the point of this video. You know that right?

  • Jesus Christ said, "do not increase the border of your garment." If you'll look at a bishop, see how he dresses, see the tings that he does, you'll notice that he disobeys Christ at every turn. The reason that they do this is that they are not Christians! They are Pharisees!

  • @ChurchHymns Bishops are monks, their rank is just much higher.

  • IC XC NI KA

  • Bishops aren't monks, the klobulk is worn by those cleregy that aren't bond in any form of marriage.

  • @AGDIRGIA Please go into one of their Churches, and study their doctrine and then try to claim they are not Orthodox. absolute ignorance.

  • @SpyridonTheWonderWkr up their infirmities, less they seem inferior to the people they govern? Just curious, because it seems unlikely to me. Forgive me for being prideful and arrogant. I was just wandering if we can be certain that what you stated could be the klobuks intended use as taught by the church.

  • @SpyridonTheWonderWkr Perhaps it may have used by some to cover up an infirmity but it seems unlikely to me that the Orthodox who teach humility as the capital virtue would prescribe the use of the klobuk in such as manner as to seem like fit leaders because it seems like it would defeat the purpose of their teachings on humility to cover themselves as they tried to teach others. However could have been that the Turks when they made clergy take on political office use it as such to cover.....

  • Can we be certain that the use of the klobuk was used to cover upmarkings from torture...etc? While rested on the head of whomever may be wearing it it does not seemingly cover up any sort of infirmity unless it is on top of the head or on the neck ...etc, do we have record or writing by the church fathers that stated that they would have it pinned or tied in a specific way as to cover up an infirmity? It seems to me like the klobuk would perhaps be for some other use than what is stated here.
