  • Too bad Spong got worse after his sudden increase in strength.

    You can see that he focusses too much on his strength now, instead of his speed as he used to do.

    I hope he can refind himself, and become what he was destined to be: the next k1 champion!

  • ik wil iets heel erg graag weten , waar kan ik die dikke elastieken krijgen ? ik train zelf ook met elastiek voor mijn armen en benen maar mijne zijn van nike en die dingen zijn na een paar weken al kapot , ik zou ook wel zo'n goede kwaliteit elastiek willen , weet iemand waar ik dit kan krijgen ? bvd !

  • @wubs23 yes youre right,, he just needs to find the perfect balance...

  • @laszlo1992 yes, but power = mass x acceleration. since he cant change his mass (assuming his technique is already perfect) all he can change is his speed.

    so he needs to become as quick as he was in lightweight, and he'll pown.

  • @BoaMulder its a power exercise that mimicks throwing. That exercise is supposed to be one of the most effective in building explosive power because it works almost your whole body in one explosive motion.

  • @karimrakha ofcourse! he just gained weight too quickly. he said so himself in an interview. But now he is used to the weight, which you can see in his last fights: he moves quicker again.

  • @bushidoartss I have fought, and i do understand. Ofcourse power is important. All i am saying, is that he tenses up more, and tries to put power behind it, instead of hitting fast.

    This is common for fighters who gained weight too quickly ;)

  • @wubs23 power more important then skills..fi you never fight you will not understund..if you have best skills but some one kicking your legs you have pain thats all you will not fight well..power is very important..

  • @OLDMANBADGER 100% right i do Dead lifts, dumble swings, and presses...i think its better for your wrist anyway... no surgery

  • doing stuff with just a plate or kettlebells is exaggerated i think. a dumbell can do all the same and more

  • It's because strength and conditioning training for fighters is very different from just your average weight lifting session. They use lighter weight with more repetitions and compound exercises, which are very tiring.
