In 2002, Jarre performed a concert called "Aero - Tribute To The Wind" at Gammel Vrå Enge wind farm, just outside Aalborg in Denmark, to a rain soaked but appreciative audience of approximately 50,000.

... The original plan was for the windmills to provide all the power for the event.

@BHolmgaard The weather certainly made the concert unforgettable :) Aqua would have been a better name under the circumstances.

But to be fair, the meteorologists had forecast 4mm of rain, apparently we got 24mm during the concert.

Was there. Stood in mud to the knees. The weather turned even worse just by the end of the concert, as the music reached a crescendo. I actually found that the rain just enhanced the emotional impact of the concert.

What an experience this concert was. too bad it was marred by freebee idiots massing outside the concert area, breaking the safety barriers around the fireworks, and ending up making an already difficult exit impossible by clogging up the 'trails' from the concert area.

Love the "Intro" song. Wish Jean Michel would put it out on CD. Interesting version of Oxygene 4.
