@NastyMutation My first level 100 pokemon ever was either a charizard or dragonite. I don't remember which one was first but i know its one of them.

Volcarona is the strongest bug pokemon. It has highest stats among bug pokemons by far and is one of my favorite black/white pokemon.

@FlyersFool20 You can trade a normal pikachu from red/blue, or once pikachu is traded you can evolve it. So no, you can't complete the pokedex without trading, which is doubley true scince there are many pokemon you can't get in yellow. Meowth, ekans and beedrill for example.

As MasterButler mentioned, Pokemon abilities did not yet exist in Pokemon. They did not exist until Gen III (actually they were IMO Gen III's strongest contribution to Pokemon).
