Emory's Dr. Allan D. Kirk speaks on "Memory Cells and Rejection: Improving Transplant Results." A conversation on recent breakthroughs in transplant that are likely to allow transplant specialists to indidividualize patient treatment. Specialists are now able to assess a patient's individual propensity to accept or reject a transplant, based on their body mix of "memory cells" and "naive cells," and then adjust the treatment before and after treatment accordingly.
