Hikawa, Oomiya Shrine is the Shinto shrine which occupied the position of the top of the country of Musashi as "a Musashi country's best shrine".
Oomiya-shi prospers as Monzen-cho of Hikawa Shrine, and the place name comes from this Shinto shrine.
大宮氷川神社はか「武蔵国一の宮」として武蔵の国でトップの位置を占めた神社です。
大宮市は武蔵国一の宮である氷川神社の門前町として栄え、その地名は、この神社に由来します。
