To someone above: these are degree bearing scientists. Masters, docterates, etc. This is scientific reearch. Stupid is discounting it as stupid simply because to even begin to think it could be true would mean taking responsibility for everything you bitch about in your life. And the earth is flat, right?

@corysarz These are people who make shit up about quantum theory. This is not scientific research. Anyone remotely connected to quantum mechanics know that this is New-Age mumbo jumbo.

True (in some sense). There's a big difference between the raw data in Quantum Physics, and the resultant interpretations of it. Many of those interviewed, most notably, David Albert, was upset that his views were put into this New Age context. Most physicisits are highly skeptical of the views proposed in this movie.

We have to blame the editors and writers of the film more than than the individuals depicted (however, there are some kooks in this movie like Fred Alan Wolf). The problem is that Quantum Mechanics has no fundamental theory to explain what's going on, so there is too much room for the imagination to run free--hence the new age stuff...

This is blatant misuse of scientific research. None of these indivduals depicted here represent the mainstream scientific consensus about Quant Mech. The movie just picks up the cutting edge of what we don't understand in recent scientific discoveries and makes a story out of it. But none of their interpretations even come close to being conclusive, much less tested.

Its not all stupid. Some of it is right on the money. Would have been better without JZ Knight destroying any degree of credibility it might otherwise have had.
