Video was captured using a regular digital camera. The audio, however, was recorded separately and taken directly from the tuner's output. It was encoded to PCM 44.1 kHz /16 bits resolution.

Both audio and video where synchronized in post production with intro and ending effects added.

This is, I believe, the closest you can get to operating a classic Marantz 10B in real life.

  • Sounds to good to be true, would you ever swap this for Magnum Dynalab's latest and greatest ?

  • @S0lidState It's true! And I don't think I would replace it with anything else. Thanks for your comment!

  • Epale pana!

  • This is one of the best videos on YouTube, by far, in any category.

  • Thank you very much!

Saludos!

  • Yes, I go by the moniker "crooner" at Audio Asylum.

    Great deal on that 10B!

  • I too, have a 10b. I also live in San Diego county, in Vista. The sound of the 10b is so nice, and clean, it makes my Sansui TU 717 look sick. Are you a member of audio asylum? Oh, I bought my 10b about 1980 for the princely sum of $25.

  • i was on another account (was on a friends without realizing lol) when i said that. The only problem i had with it was the fact that there is no good stations in NJ and the Aux input only gets the right channel sometimes and so I have to turn the selector from and back to it to get the left channel (Which is why I am now using Tape Monitor 1 as my input for my PC). My PC can output 192khz analogue audio with an excellent SNR but i can only find CD quality music on-line.
