(We'd asked him earlier and it was up in the air - D was in LA) Woohoo! We got excited, but then I asked, "Wait - here?" I was afraid it'd be by satellite. "Here!" Alan confirmed. At our joy, he laughed and added, "I THOUGHT that would make you happy!"

I didn't know you at that time and Debbie was only a year old,but I loved going to the telethon each year.Jay let me stay in the green room in 1981.Tom sat next to me in the audience once to talk.I was sad when they moved it from Utah to Disneyland.

This was one of my favorites of all his bearded performances. My friends and I were in the audience, and were so pumped to see him. Notice his hair's lil' tail when he takes his first bow. Cute! LOVE his rendtion of the song, his look, just everything! Great memories.
