u R telling us that YOU had a home church that grew into the modern organized religious system ... now, your in the m.o.r.s. ... I sympthise w/ where you are. Frankly, sounds to me like you need a bit more time in the wilderness. Also sounds to me like you have been abused by the model of the m.o.r.s. hence the travail. Wilderness = deprograming, ant-infection med., theraputic. When the model is right, alive, and active in you fellowship (I John 1:7) will be 24/7. That IS where your going.

The pastor insists that God has led him to celebrate Halloween in the manner of changing its name and offering an alternative form of Halloween. In his defense - there is no drinking, drugging, etc... but that doesn't seem to answer the spiritual dangers involved with the event - or what kind of lessons that teaches the children - ultimately.

The problem with people like you, Chris, is that you listen to the Spirit too much. You just can't fellowship with people if you keep a closed mind about sin. You've got to be open and accepting to others' opinions. So maybe they're not teaching the Word correctly. If they are sincere, and willing to follow new trends, isn't that what matters?
