you should change the name to this video, i found it just by coincidence. the thing is that this is Joy Division, they were already called that way when they recorded this. However, thanks for uploading this song.

@fakeis751 I believe you are inaccurate in your facts. They were Warsaw when they recorded this. The name Joy Division came soon after this album though. I am so glad you enjoyed it. The difference between Warsaw and Joy Division is that Warsaw is more punk oriented. Joy Division, although the same band were more post punk. Listen to the Warsaw album if you have it.

@Circumpunk Oh, the thing is that the "Warsaw" album compiles different recording sessions. This track was recorded in May 1978; they changed their name earlier that year. "Live at the Electric Circus" was released in June '78 and they were already listed as Joy Division. This album has some songs from their early punk era, though -songs even punker than this, with IC screaming in a very angry way-.

However, this is one of my favourite songs by one of my favourite bands. Cheers!

I don't know what song is my favorite on this album. I am very happy that you like this version and even happier that we discussed it civilly, a rarety on youtube, you must agree..ha ha!

@Circumpunk Yeah, i really like JD's punk era. The post-punk songs on this album are fine too, but it seems they weren't ready and fully prepared at that time. I like this version of "Novelty" better than the one they recorded later, though. Well, it IS a rarety having a discussion without saying "fuck you" in youtube, isn't it? So...fuck you! hahaha
