  • You mentioned "Prepaid Legal Services".

During the Sea Arghhh protest this summer in Hollywood at Author Services, I saw a Prepaid Legal Services Van pull in to the Author Services parking garage. I was alarmed because a friend of mine just started working for them and I heard it's a bit pyramidish.

I think this is worth looking in to!

Beware them if they are operating out of a Scientology structure.

  • PPL is a Multi-level deal, so anyone can join, and I'm quite sure they have. However, so have many *huge* companies, including Shell Oil, etc. You have access to many attorneys, and they cannot do their weird trips with them, due to legal reasons. Sure, always beware, but I saw it as an inexpensive access to legal advice. Thanks for the info. Best,

    Tory/Magoo

  • Wow.......I've tried to answer this question, 4 times now, and YT won't post it. What's up?

Spooky, seriously. Is it because of Halloween, or has this group paid them off?

Let's see if this posts. Best, TLC.

  • I think PPL is okay, I joined at the suggestion of a trusted friend. It's like 17 bucks a month, and I'm fairly protected. I was assigned a big legal company with a good reputation, nearby. They return your calls, though it may take a day or two, and the attorney was a little bit bitchy, but so what? I wasn't looking for hugs. She had me copyright and publish my music, first, then they wrote a Cease and Desist letter. Scientology was never mentioned. And FYI, I'm a non religious person.

  • @maha77 yeah i mean what's the bill deal right? its only a billion years. >.>

  • yeah they make u sign away your "soul" for a billion years in servitutde. HA its your soul we talking about here, u want 2 serve 4 a billion years?!

  • Moose Lady is wise!

  • Ditto from me!

  • PS: 'they"---the Scientology kids, working to suck others "in". BARF! If your kids are reading this: Is this *honestly* what you joined Scientology to do? If you knew you'd have to ~never~ speak with your parents, would you have signed up? You can leave, NOW, we'll come help you.

    Make the leap! Tory/Magoo

  • Thank you Mona for giving us a personal look into the lives of 2 parents who lost their children to the Cult of Scientology, and what they do to suck others "in". I greatly appreciate you both. Happy Halloween to ALL :)

  • As an Attorney, I would like to echo what was said by alien8ted, but also add this. Staff is, if I understand correctly, an employed position. In a very large majority of states in the US, jobs are "At Will". This normally means they can fire you at any time for any reason, but it also works both ways. You can leave them to. Can they sue you? Yes. Will they win? Likely no as the contract is excessive and unreasonable. You can contact me via my channel if you have more questions.
