  • i made a mothermold with easyflow60 recently. Would the polyfiber work with that?

  • @Ninjaculation Yes, it would work but EZ Flo 60 is VERY fast. That is the only draw back.

  • What in the world were you molding? We never got to see the finished piece :-(

  • @patty0130 This was a figurine based on the Lord of The Rings statues.

  • Do you have part 3 of this where you create the copy of the original piece? I've watched the first part and this but can't find the next one :-(

    Thanks,

    Lee

  • @birdszed I'll have to see if I have that footage. I don't think it is on;line.

  • @myrainywoods The point of the hard resin mother mold is to give the floppy Gel-10 something rigid to rest against during casting so the final part doesn't get distorted.

  • it's a buddha fig i supposed

  • @TekunoTheSecond If you want a glossy finish use a fast set resin like EZ Flo 60 w/o any thickener.

  • In the video, you mention that you can sand the resin down to get a smoother finish. I was wondering if t would be possible to use a resin and polyfiber mixture to add a hard shell to a one-off styrofoam prop, and if so, what kind of surface finish would that get me? would it be possible to sand and polish it to a nice glossy shine?
