Bethesda Buzz TV is produced by Joelle Norwood aka The Media Mama http://www.TheMediaMama.com What the buzz around bethesda? Ghulam Sarwar is the Artist who painted Julie Farkas' car. Sarwar is a "truck artist" from the Khyber Pass region of Pakistan, a member of the Pashtun tribe. He has been painting local resident's doors, cars in Bethesda Maryland. Ghulam Sarwar brings to life the designs and vibrant color of the now world-renowned truck and bus art of Pakistan.
He paints cars, doors, chairs, tables and other kinds of furniture.  
Ghulam starting off painting film posters in Pakistan and moving on to the larger canvases of trucks and cars, he has been painting for 40 years. Truck and car painting is typical in Pakistan and Afghanistan.
Julie Farkas and Seth Goldman, founder of Honest Tea spotted another car painted by Sarwar and Julie asked him to paint her car. Julie says he brought love and peace to her home. Sarwar not only painted Julie Farkas car, but also the front door to the Honest Tea offices in Bethesda.

  • Awesome car and amazing amount of talent went into that paint job.

  • Amazing car - however the first thing that comes to my mind is the discetionary income you need to pay someone to hand paint your car (over four coats of paint) - enough money to rebuild his house in Pakastan. Not exactly what a person with an average income would spend money on.
