Man, after all of these years the guy still has the pipes.
-
@vwtch You know on all those studio recordings it was session players playing and not Carl and Nick. Dennis will always be the voice of the Buckinghams.

@youyong28 Hear, Hear!!!!

Dennis Tufano continues to sparkle. He is one of the great singers of the rock or any other era.

I saw the original band in upstate NY in 1968...great show!!! Marty had to bang on his Wurlitzer elec piano to keep it working, and Carl did surprisingly competent job on his 335. I have the new Buckinghams CG that Carl and Nick released last year...the new stuff is pretty OK, but the remakes of the old tunes are solid. Carl lives here in So Calif, but I haven't run into him anywhere....

Yeah too bad Carl is an ass.

You obviously are referring to Carl Giammarese, Lead/Rhythm Guitar and Nick Fortuna, Bass. Well, they are every bit as much 'the genuine article', 'the real deal' as Marty Grebb or Dennis Tufano are. Carl and Nick are the ones out there doing the concerts year in and year out, which Marty and Dennis are NOT doing. Shame on you for trying to diminish and demean Carl and Nick.

What do we remember even if the band is the same and the voice isn't?....it is the voice. This vocal matches up to those old 45's from yesteryear. The band sound on the original and from this clip truly sound the same. So...looking for the orginal sound? It is the voice of Dennis Tufano--classic!
