[Video #45] from http://www.youtube.com/user/MetalGuruMessiah the address for MetalGuruMessiah's Musical Paint Box! Check out my other videos!

"San Ferry Anne" was released on Paul McCartney & Wing's 1976 album, Wings At The Speed Of Sound. It's a truly beautiful little song containing another of Paul's seemingly endless supply of gorgeous melodies. It's one of those 2-3 tunes you can always find on a Paul McCartney album.....little gems of brilliance buried under the weight of other masterpieces or more well-known songs. I have just always loved the song.

I hope you enjoy the video!

[Lyrics]

You`ve got a lot,
and from what you`ve got,
I`d say ou`re doing well, dear.
Dressed like a dream,
and if things are what they seem,
you`re looking swell, dear.

Your little man
brings you trinkets when he can,
but he can`t stay, sear.
That`s very well,
but inside your shiny shell,
you dance all day, dear.

So go, begay,
let your feelings leap away
into the laughter.
San ferry Anne,
and the world keeps turning happy ever after.

  • Wings at the Speed of Sound is my second or third favourite Wings album from back when we listened to LPs from start to finish. Great work on the video.

It's so hard for me to seriously know which Wings albums I listened to the most back in the day, 'cause I played all of 'em all the time! LOL! I was thinking the other day that after so many years it's difficult, but not impossible, to recall how fresh these albums sounded in their time...all great still, but wow, remember?!?

The incredible groove and Paul's fat, tasty bass-lines of "Let 'Em In" and "Silly Love Songs" amaze to this day...and the 2 minor gems I've mad vids for!

  • I have been humming this song all day in my head and am so glad to find it here.

    thanks!

  • Wonderful! Unusually! Sensual!

Thanks so much for liking it and commenting. Always nice to get some of the lesser known McCartney gems out there.

Thanks so much D&D! I can always count on you guys! Cool that we were all enjoying a cup and listening to these amazing Harrison & McCartney tracks this a.m.! The Beatles are by far my favorite group, and I also love the solo efforts, I collect every note I can find. I've gotten off on a solo Beatles tangent as far as my videos..always knew that once I started with some of these songs they would become my primary focus! Oh well, only a few hundred solo Beatle tunes to go! LOL!
