what do you do in this game?

@ArcSlaya each person lays a tile every turn. tiles must match (roads, castles, farms) when you put them down. you have 7 "meeples" and you can use them to occupy pieces of property in order to earn you points at the end of the game. it is a great introduction to european board games (which, unlike american board games, actually inspire people to THINK and use the brain!) i highly recommend getting the basic game and trying it out.

wow how many meeples did you play with?!

@suspendedanimation I think we played with 7 regular meeples and 1 double-sized one (the big boy)... so 8 total. and then 1 each on the scoreboard.

what was that "first" game all about?
fretwiz 1 year ago
@fretwiz We first played the stand-alone game Carcassonne: The Castle. I argued we should keep it as the centerpiece and play all the normal Carcassonne pieces around it, but I got voted down. Instead we just cleared the tiles, but kept the score and rolled it over to the next game.
