A 3-minute radio show turned into video has Gary Murphy, VP of National Accounts for AmaWaterways, discussing the origins, joys and various aspects of European River Cruising with Jane DeGrow, host of the syndicated Travel Queen Radio Show. River Cruising has become one of the hottest modes of travel in Europe and AmaWaterways is the premier river cruise line in this fastest growing segment of the travel industry. AmaWaterways is currently operatinhg 12 ships and has cruises all over Europe, in Russia and in Cambodia/Vietnam. They have been launching new ships every year and their two latest ships, MS AmaBello (2010), and AmaVerde (2011) are the most amenity filled ships buitl to AmaWaterways to date. The Rhine-Main Canal, completed in 1992 and linked the Rhine and Daunbe Rivers, made it possible for passenger and cargo boats to go from Northwest Europe to Southeast Europe, in other words North Sea to Black Sea, and created a whole more dynamic European River Cruise industry. Most AmaWaterways cruies are 7-day, but the ever popular Amsterdam to Budapest is a fantastic two-week journey through the heart of Europe.
