HARRY FREAKING POTTER!!! There is absolutely no competition here at all. Sarah, I'm sorry, but the three things you said about Edward made me hate him even more. You made him sound more boring than I originally thought he was, which says a lot because I didn't know I could think any less of that transparent twat. And although Jackie's points aren't exactly why I adore Harry, they're still far more admirable and lovable than Edward's.

A better written character isn't the one you would rather date. It's who has more layers, consistancy and motivation. Anyone could write about the perfect kid that every girl would want to date. Anyone could write about the perfect chick that every guy would want to date.

That being said, I haven't read either of the books, so I really have no definitive say. That being said, I really dislike the Twilight films.
