From the 1979 horror sleaze classic "Don't Go in the House", starring Dan Grimaldi as psycho Donny Kohler. In this scene, Donny first visits a clothing store where a sales clerk (Jim Donnegan) helps fit him with a very snazzy suit to wear to the disco. Playing in the background during this scene is the song "Struck By Boogie Lightning" by L'Ectrique.

The following scene is a standout for this film! Donny meets his friend Bobby (Robert Osth) at the disco, where he is introduced to the beautiful "Farrah" (played by Nikki Collins). Farrah asks him to dance but he is too shy and turns her down. But when she gets a little too pushy trying to drag him out on to the floor Donny has to take more drastic measures to let her know that no, he doesn't want to dance! lol

If anyone can tell me anything about the first song played in the disco scene, please let me know because it is an awesome track, my favorite from the movie. According to the credits it is called "Dancing Close to You" and performed by the "Daryll/Barber Band." The second song is a reprise of the excellent "Late Night Surrender" by Jeree Palmer. I would give almost anything to get a copy of the three songs used in this clip!!!

  • Great post!

I loved this cheesy ass, disco-slasher!

Nothing like getting cut up to the sounds of disco music, and a few years later, synthesized music.

The horror films from, about 1977-1983 were the best. So many cheesy classics came from that period.

  • Look at 3:10. Alfred looks like Paul McCartney circa 1970 lol oh man, this is my favorite scene, in the clothing store. What a weird ass dialogue man! You cant capture a lunitic with social issues like this on film these days.

  • The interior of the Anchor Blue, formerly Miller's Outpost, both now defunct, in Milpitas, CA, still looked like that disco shop when I was last there around 2002.

  • Fire Punch!

  • Patsy Parisi from the Sopranos

  • Disco is a bad memory.

  • @barzouf94 An ensemble? You mean like a purse and shoes? Maybe a belt?

  • Disco Sucks!!!!

  • Love the dialog... especially : - Can I set you up in an entire ensemble? Boy, this guy is bad , he's so graphic, ;)))))
