  • A Yo, I see you got the NI Maschine. Do you feel that it could replace your mpc 2500 OR do you still think the mpc 2500 is better and/or essential to your setup? (With the 1.5 update) Which one do you use more?!!

  • @prettdboy I personally like the mpc to tell you the truth. I think that the maschine is a great piece and wish that it had an ac adapter to be able to plug it into an electric outlet instead of just usb. I like the capabilities that the maschine has mine kinda lags when I make beats. I think in a year or sometime soon the maschine will be a beast. I just like the sound the mpc puts out. as far as it being essential to tell you the truth no but I can still learn from it

  • @dlee719 And because it doesn't have the 64 pads its a pain in the ass to track each sound (or pad out) individually into my daw (logic 9). SO I was gonna cop the mpc because it can track out each pad individually or by track (up to 16) - thats dope. And its pretty easy to do (after looking at youtube videos) Oh, is it easy to layer pads in the mpc 2500?! I like to stack my drums. I know you can only do 4 samples to a pad (another thing that maschine can't do yet).

  • @prettdboy it's really easy to stack 4 samples to a pad. I do that to every drum sound that I have personally I love stacking drums even though you don't necessarily need to if the drum sound is on point. My maschine has latency which I hate for sure.

  • I use to have the asr 10, it's cool for chopping samples and it has a good sound, but for real that shit obselete. Using that along w/ the mpc 2500 is overkill; there's no need. If you're just using your MPC 2500 for drums and sequencing, wow, you should have just kept your XL.

  • @kaybronson100 I hear what you're saying but I personally wanted to see how the asr and the mpc work together. I like both sounds that both put out for sure but for the most part I use my mpc all the time. I like the 2500 over the xl due to the 4 midi outs and more drum program capabilities. I definitely like the way it chops the samples and doesn't use the memory when choppin a sample.
