  • woah what is the name of that horn its awesome!

  • Its a Leslie S2M/RS2M SuperTyfon horn but I think its squealing or one chime in not working.

  • those things look extremely old

  • Thats because they are old.. They were delivered between 1974-1975. The first unit has not been rebuilt since delivery while the others had a rebuild sometime in the past.

  • I worked on that same loco"s before, that is in Gmr on its way to the depot

  • Sorry, but its got to be a 25NC for me ; )

  • @bfgoodrik I think when Alco went out of business they transfered designs and parts to GE.

  • Germiston goods ! I used to be signal technician around there, missing it now ! They are old, yes. They used to rebuild them, don't know now. Old lever frame signalling, and their are four signalling boxes for the complex, Germiston Central,West, East and Goods !

  • They look like they were built by the same people.

  • Wow! What a rail operation they have there!!

  • You mean EMD SD40. Sorry but they don't really look that similar.

  • sounds mean

  • Yeah they do, I wonder if they are actually built by the same people.
