Rereleased tamiya sand scorcher 2010 buggy has minor bug

everythings are fine with this newly released sand scorcher but it's the rear guard that has a problem, the screw hole both sides of the rear guard doesn't match with the gear box's screw holes,
so it needs to be drilled a bit more to the frontside to insert the screws right ,just a little glitch but annoying really,
tamiya should fix this for the new sand scorcher

Thanks for sharing this video, as you say, not a big deal, more annoying than anything, hopefully they sorted it pretty quick, I guess I will also find out soon when mine arrives :)

maybe this one is one of those cheap hong kong copies :) you will probable forget about this little bug when you are running the sand scorcher over some beautiful sunny beach somewhere in the world, JUST ENJOY DUDE!! and have fun.

I didn't have any problems with mine... Strange that yours has this "bug". Well, at least it's not too bad, I mean if it was the gearbox that didn't have any holes, that would be a real problem.

On the 1st production run that Tamiya produced of the re-release of the Sand Scorcher, they had a problem with this part. Tamiya has sent replacement parts for all effected kits. All stores that received 1st run kits will be getting the new part shortly.

Just got mine from rc mart, its just the same as yours.

The buggy champ i got from rc mart

is fine. strange.

Bad quality control, but i can live with

that.
