Persian Cat Janelle hates being combed / brushed!

Since so many people asked me "why oh why did you shave her beautiful fur off?", HERE´S THE REASON!

This video is only a short demonstration to show you how much she *hates* being combed - it´s NOT the proper 10 min full body groom that she needs every day. I am being as gentle as I can be and am using a special detangling comb for longhaired cats, but she simply doesn´t even like being *touched* in certain places on her body. Which, apart from around her head, is just about everywhere...

The Big HISSS at the camera at the end is a classic... ;)

@MsJCBurke Tell me about it! If her human mummy had not died, I would have never even considered getting a persian cat! But she soooo grew on me and I love her very much (sadly, I had to rehome her with my best friend because after 1 1/2 yrs it simply wouldn´t work out between her and my tabby (boss!) boy Lugosi who beat her up every single day and she was just living in fear of him....)

That is my life right there. I have a persian too. I think this is how the majority of them act.

That's perfectly normal! My cat bites and growls and claws at me all the time. He's a persian too.

@vonfluffenstein You're right, not an idiot, that's rude, its more that her line of thinking is somewhat absurd. The cat is abusing you more than anything!

@drock920 well, I wouldn´t want to call anyone an idiot so quickly, but you really do have to know the full story and I was trying to get that across to her....

Sorry, I don´t really have tricks for grooming either - I strongly believe that some cats just ARE (born?) like this, or maybe some cats have ultra-sensitive skin just like some humans have, who knows. :)
