LOU DOBBS: The left-wing activist group ACORN is now under investigation in at least 13 states for widespread voter-registration fraud

MIKE COX (Attorney General MI): Weve charged three people in the past week, one with ACORN, two others just yesterday with a group called the Community Voters Project, which is a similar third party group they put pressure on their employees, theres a quota system, and the employees go out and they, with gross neglect, gross negligence, go out and get these bogus registrations. The New York Times reported last week that 30% of the ACORN registrations are bogus, fraud or fake and that should be disconcerting to anyone who cares of fair and free elections.
DOBBS: Free and fair elections and federally supported organizations like ACORN, as much as 40% of their money coming from the federal government. I dont believe most taxpayers even understand that.

COX: The Department of Justice tells us that in 38 counties we have more registered voters than there are people eligible to vote. And Lou as you know, this is the first step for potential widespread fraud, especially in the area of absentee voting.

DOBBS: Its happening across the country

COX: The local director [of ACORN], here in Michigan said that even if we get Mickey Mouse on the registration form, were not gonna filter it out, we're not gonna stop it. Theyre still gonna try and pass that. But unfortunately with more John Smith, any other number of names that might get by local clerks and cause legitimate fraud and its absolute shame.

ACORN is a corrupt organization that was just busted for helping to set up child prostitution rings. Sick sick sick!

Mike Cox is an Attorney General (R). He knows that organizations like ACORN are required by law to submit suspect forms that any of their hires turn in. Yet he goes out of his way to say ACORN isn't going to stop turning those in. He does this without mentioning that it's against the law not to.

There is no widespread fraud. The fraud is the notion that there is fraud. The only prosecutions anyone will ever see is that of a fired worker who was fired for falsifying registrations.

Lou Dobbs and Mike Cox are beyond dishonest. Does someone with the account name "mediafactcheck" actually do any fact checking?

The 123% on the rolls in Mississippi is a result of the rolls being cluttered with tens of thousands of registered voters that would be over 100 years old and were registered in the middle of last century and are probably dead. They've never been removed. These clowns want to intimate that ACORN is somehow responsible.
