Juno Beach was the code name for the Canadian landing site on D-Day. Appropriately, our visit to Juno Beach was on a cool, cloudy, breezy day. The D-Day beaches and monuments fall in the must see in your lifetime category.

  • @alexmini123 That comment was written when I was hacked. I didn't even know that this comment existed untill now...

  • @salesguru88 bet your was the kid who doted your I's and crossed your T's for teacher brownie points your spelling nazi lol

  • @u452u you are a liar, he wasnt the 3rd person to take juno... i can guarantee that bud.

  • @Tony63909 What would you like to know about what you're watching?

  • @OMGLOL1995 Amerikanischer or something to that effect. My Great Grandpa fought in the German army during WWII (he was Estonian, fled the Russians, and as a male was expected to join the German military or else...he went AWOL in the mountains after a while to avoid being killed for not joining the Nazi party)...never mentioned any such words as that other guy mentioned to you. Yankee is more of a Brit/Aussie term for us...a horribly outdated one, mind you, but oh well.

  • @themostbeatifull Nope, that's not true. Chuck Norris took them all out single handedly. Oh wait...that joke's so 2006. Sorry. :P That WWII generation is an amazing one. I know I wouldn't have the guts to storm that beach...I'd be too busy wanting to live. Then again, they had a cause worth fighting for (Hitler taking over the world)...our occupation (I live in the us though my family lived in europe in WWII) of countries today seems meaningless next to that conflict.

  • See, this is what I don't get. People who visit France go to see Paris, the Eiffel tower, crap like that. I'd be going here, and visiting a lot of WWII relevant battlefields throughout Europe, because that period of time not only fascinates me, but WWII happening is directly responsible for me even existing.

  • ive been there a week ago. same weather as there (cold, cloudy). XD

  • One day I'm going there in my Combat Uniform, or Parade Uniform (I'm with the Royal Canadian Air Cadets) and find out if I can go inside the bunkers, as my great Grandfather had fought there, and was the third person to take Juno
