Here's what you need to do, Pipe the exhaust through a heat exchanger or several of them to bring the overall exhaust down to the same temp as intake air. Then pipe the heat to ducts, then you will have a High Efficiency Furnace.

What is the outlet temp on the stack and how many cords of wood are you going through per heating season?

The roar is the fan, and for our heating season (way up in Manitoba) 6 cords will heat our house, my shop (with 12ft ceilings) and our domestic hot water, all three items, from the same 6 cords.
