Regardless of what clips like this are meant to promote, they can be very useful to those who want to know what old, often obscure pieces of musical equipment sound like before they actually buy them. With Ebay prices going through the roof and items like the Maestro Rhythm King becoming increasingly tough to find, clips like this one can be helpful in determining whether or not such a purchase would actually be worthwhile. Consider it a basic "how to" guide...archival material, of sorts.
@folklorish Thanks! I agree. There's tons of gear that I want to hear before I buy -- Currently a DOD FX45, which I can't find any video or sound samples of anywhere. I'm not a fan of "buying blind," and I'm pretty certain many others share that view.
