Bethan Adey is a student on the National Diploma in Art & Design and AS Photography courses at Deeside College. Check out what she thinks about her course and college life.

"Hello, my names Bethan and I study here at Deeside Collage, I'm studying National Diploma in Art & Design and AS Photography.

I chose to study here at Deeside because the course looked appealing and I liked the look of the campus.

As part of the course we do ceramics, textiles, photography, life drawing, 3D design and various other subjects.

At the moment in textiles we're working as a team to create a piece of clothing out of waste couture and here are some of the dress that we are working on in our group.

We studying life drawing once a week in the life drawing room and we have a live model come in.

We use a variety of different skills to paint the model using paints and pencils and all sorts of different techniques.

During the Easter time I went out to South Africa for ten day to work with the community out there and to build a house and renovate another house.

During my time out in South Africa I was able to use my photography skills that I've learnt in Deeside College to capture the community and the work that we did out there.

One of the things that I enjoy the most about the course is the photography, I like photography because the subject is quite wide and I enjoy manipulating the images on the computer.

Recently we've just finished our exam portfolio, for that portfolio I studied music photography I took a range of instruments and all the different tools used for music.

To develop my skills in Art further I would like to continue doing the foundation course here at Deeside College.

I would like to do that course so that in the future I could work in the Art Industry and have a wider range of skills in the subject."
