6th & 7th elimination 'Search For A Star' - live TV!

'Search For A Star' is a unique show from CTN and KMF that allows TV audiences to choose (by phone voting) two actors for a new 30-part drama 'My Family My Heart'.

Twelve hopeful stars - six girls and six boys - were chosen from the thousands who applied after TV announcements ran for three weeks in the summer.

Each week, the contestants are filmed learning how to act and this is shown in daily segments at peaktime on CTN.

Phone votes are added up on Saturday evenings and the results shown live on CTN's popular 'Entertainment Tonight' variety show. The contestant with the lowest number of votes is eliminated.

Because one boy and one girl will eventually be chosen, the final - on Saturday 24 December - will be between two boys and two girls. So leading up to that, boys and girls face the music during alternate weeks.

This week, Saturday 10 December, one boy and one girl were up for elimination - because technical problems last week prevented an accurate calculation of votes for the girls.
