Found the problem, was missing none! The snap ring you see lying near the big screwdriver is the ring for the ball bearing on the mainshaft behind 5th gear. The snap ring I was "missing" for the plate was on the input shaft gear in the video, and the input shaft gear snap ring I had put where the big one should go.
