  • coletrane you plan on reviewing the ti military?

  • @vpsaline I had one, but haven't had time to review lately. I was a knife knife, but didn't do it for me.

  • besides to open the potatoe chips bag, what do you use the blade for ? :P

  • @clustergarde ha, no. I did some cutting around the house, just everyday stuff. Didn't use it for anything too heavy duty though. I have no doubt that it would hold up to some heavy use though.

  • Question for coletrane. If they were the same price (so, disregarding price) would you rather a DGG digicam SnG or F.G D2 para?

  • SnG, hands down. Much heavier duty knife!

  • I call B.S. I use a 710 for EDC all the time, never had a single chip, even light ones. And i have used this thing hard too.

  • this or the cold steel recon 1 tanto?

  • there is a very minimal up and down play...BUT if u deploy the knife with a wrist flick, the knife will lock up more solidly and there will be no bladeplay at all.

  • @coletrane811 what turned you off?

  • is the paramilitary a good self defense knife, looks a little short to me. im looking for a knife i can carry around but that can also put someone down if needed. never seen it in person just online but it looks like a apple and orange peeling knife to me. lol what do you recommend that is not to big and heavy but can put someone down if needed ?

  • Two completely different knives. I've owned both. The Recon 1 has a weaker lock, worse materials, way worse fit and finish.

    Paramilitary all the way.

  • The compression lock isn't just a liner lock, just looks like one. It wedges the liner between the blade tang and the stop pin. So in order to get the lock to fail you'd have to crush the liner. One of the toughest locks in production.

Great review, not many reviews with the black blades
