@Leprechaun79 Well the t2i is definitely a nice choice for video but put it this way - the D3100 is a little cheaper than the t2i which will give you money left over for a lens or two (say a 35mm 1.8). The D3100 doesn't have 100% viewfinder but this isn't much of an issue. I personally prefer Nikon for it's lenses and yes the D7000 shares the same lens range as the D3100. Auto focus can also be shut off in video yes of course.

@FernovaProductions Ok one more question. I just think the 60d is out of my budget right now, so I am narrowing it down to the Cannon t2i and the Nikon 3100. I am so torn between these two. It basicly comes down to Nikon vs Cannon. You seem to prefer Nikon and I was wondering what your validity is for this? Does the Nikon have 100% view finder mode? I know the t2i does not. Does the d3100 use the same lenses as the D7000? Can you shut off auto focus in video mode?
