Japanese manager apologizes endlessly for waitress' mistake

Because a waitress spilled shoyu sauce on the pants of a customer, the manager of this Japanese restaurant bowed apologizing for his subordinate's fault. The group of informal Brazilians, shocked with such scene, tried to divert the shy server.

OK you Brizilians did the most stupid thing I have seen, you made the poor manager look like a clown, you should have accepted his forgiveness and left it at that, but no you have to make him look like a toy. Talk about stupid gaikokujin in Japan.

Clash of cultures. In Japan, everything is dead serious. What else can you expect from a country where people had their heads cut off for their disrespect by samurais and where people had to commit suicide for losing the world war? Those Japanese mean business and are dead serious. Brazillians are the total opposit. Laid back culture where everything can be ok, let's get over it attitude. They just misunderstood each other. Besdies, the Brazilian lady kept saying "It is OK" in Japanese.

don't make light of someone who is apologizing, even if it's his formal duty. these people are embarrassing the manager to the extreme and they are so dense that they aren't even aware of it. it's no wonder a growing number of Japanese businesses have a 'no foreigners' policy. thanks for screwing it up for the rest of us who respects Japanese culture.
