Thurs, May 19 approx 9pm, I remember coming back to my apartment from work, I live in Montreal, logged onto the computer and googled "Winnipeg NHL" tweets were scrolling lke crazy about this Brunt article saying "It's a done deal". It was one happy night!

1) its not the REAL Jets, its the Thrashers. the REAL jets lay in Pheonix.
2) look at the age group here. 95% of them werent even alive when the Jets played here....hell, i only got to 2 games in my life.
3) Everyone hated the Jets back in the day. they were terrible, and once they decided to leave, then we wanted them.
4)Origin of the name.....named after the NFL team, the Jets.....fact. look it up.
Dont get me wrong, i am excited, but this is one big bandwagon.

To the people of Winnipeg, congratulations on your return to the NHL. Take care of the team formerly known as the Thrashers. I'm glad the NHL is back in Winnipeg, and although it was at the cost of losing the Atlanta Thrashers (a world class city that should still be in the NHL), good luck to the Winnipeg Jets in 2011-12.

@garretfergusson The Moose were independent at first, Mark Chipman brought the best hockey he could to Winnipeg with the absence of the NHL and it was him who brought it back, anyways "BC Sucks" is what Bomber fans chant, us at Portage and Main also chanted "Riders Suck".
