Block Map Generator Test 2

Correction:
I'm testing Blender 2.5's Game Engine to see how far I can push it.
Experiment Results:
The blocks are currently made of individual planes rather than a solid cube object, this caused the FPS to drop by at least half of what it was when I used cubes instead. Using individual planes seemed to be the only way that I could calculate which side of the block to place another block next to.
Also, this has absolutely nothing to do with Minecraft, read the description and tags.

Hell, if I had a choice I'd rather not have idiots post their opinionated comments on this video. If anything, it seems like a religious devotion of these people to shun all things that simply look like Minecraft.
Oh wait... here it is in the Minecraftible:
Craftodus Chapter 20: Verse 3
"Do not have any other blocky games before Minecraft. You shall not make for yourself a sandbox game. You shall not play them or think good of them; for I the Lord your Notch am jealous."

Heres an idea... Save $3,500, buy Autodesk Maya 2012, try go proffesional, ??? , Profit.... or just trial out Maya for a tad o fun.
Not sure if you've tried it or not, but in my opinion, i believe its a stronger more solid 3D package...
Fyi, it also uses Python script, like other 3D packages, so you can test your scripts on that as well :3.
Blender being a free program is cool still, nice hobby :3

if you can, would you help markus persson AKA notch with a minecraft 2? with your blender 3d engine? because a minecraft 2 with those graphics would be awsome! :D

you should make more organic blenders of mobs like
(mr.minecraft, zombie, skeleton, spider, pig, sheep, etc.)
i love the organic ghast & creeper! :D

Very nice work!
boss....pure boss....any way im curious as to how many years experience you have with blender/python?

@acdiabloc
Thanks.
With Blender in general, about 4-5 years. With the Game Engine probably around 3-4 years (took me a while to figure the game engine out after learning the basics of blender). As for Python, about 1.5 months. I just recently picked it up while helping a friend work on a blender game. I find it to be tons more efficient for getting things done than just using plain logic bricks only.

Thanks
Nothing really, I guess. I was just testing to see what Blender could handle better: Blocks made of individual plane objects or Blocks that are just solid cubes. The results are this:
Solid cube objects make for higher fps, but in mass without proper render settings (rendering only what is seen) drastically lowers fps. Individual planes makes fps low to start with, but they work more efficiently with the aforementioned rendering technique, resulting in higher fps.
