60 Jahre BAMBI

Am 27. November 2008 feiert Deutschlands wichtigster Medienpreis Jubiläum: seit 60 Jahren gibt es BAMBI. Zur Jubiläumsgala kehrt das goldene Reh an den Stammsitz der Hubert Burda Media zurück

In der neu erbauten Oberrheinhalle (Einweihung: 4. Juli 2008) wird die glamouröse Show stattfinden und live um 20.15 Uhr vom MDR Fernsehen im Ersten (ARD) ausgestrahlt.
Gastgeber Dr. Hubert Burda wird dazu über 1.000 Gäste aus Kultur, Wirtschaft, Politik, Medien und Showbusiness begrüßen. Erst ein einziges Mal, 1987, war BAMBI bisher in Offenburg zu Gast. Entsprechend groß ist die Vorfreude in der Ortenau, Oberbürgermeisterin Edith Schreiner plant viele Aktionen, um die Stadt und die Bevölkerung einzubinden.

BAMBI, the media prize awarded by Hubert Burda Media, is the most important award in Germany. With an audience awareness of 94%, it holds a top position in Germany it is even more well-known than the legendary Academy Award, the OSCAR.
The importance of BAMBI lies in its innovative power: this prize has reacted to every change in the media sector. In its beginning after 1948, BAMBI was a mere film prize. Today, this award is given to nominees in the whole sector of communication and to people in all other segments of entertainment and show business as well as economy, politics and sports.

The most important criterium for BAMBI is popularity. BAMBI is a symbol for the audiences approval. Every year, BAMBI honors celebrities whose abilities have impressed, moved and enthused the people in Germany they are stars from film, TV, theatre, music, fashion, politics, the economy and sports. All the nominees have one thing in common: they have achieved something extraordinary. Each year, under the patronage of the chairman and publisher, Dr. Hubert Burda, a journalistic jury, consisting of all chief editors in the company, decides who should receive a BAMBI.
