NEW Jonas Brothers mystery story Ep3

As soon as they got to the pizza restaurant and sat down with their pizza, The Jonas Brothers started to ask Mandy questions.

"So where are you from?" Nick asked.
"How long have you been drumming?" Kevin interrupted.
"Have you ever owned a porcupine?" Joe said fascinated.

Everyone stopped and looked at Joe.
"Whaaattt??" He protested. "I like porcupines!"

They all laughed.
"Actually," Mandy replied "I'm from Vancouver Canada. I've lived there my whole life and never really traveled so this is a big step for me. And I started drumming when I was 3, if you can call it drumming. It was more of random un-musical smashing of cymbals!"
The boys chuckled. "Sounds like what Nick does!" Joe exclaimed.
Nick playfully punched Joe in the arm.

"Yeah but I guess I just fell in love with drumming" Mandy continued "and I've been taking lessons and trying to improve more and more since then... so I guess thats 14 years I've been drumming now!"

Nick smiled "Thats awesome! Are the rest of your family very musical?"

Mandy looked down at her hands "Um I don't know. I never actually met my mom. She passed away when I was really little, and my dad..... well lets say he wasn't the nicest guy ever. So I moved out when I was 13."

She looked up to see the boys' stunned faces. Kevin was the first to speak.

"You were 13?" He repeated softy.

Mandy nodded.

"I'm so sorry Mandy." Nick apologized "I shouldn't have asked."

"No its okay!" She said insistently. "It happened a long time ago. I've been on my own for about 4 years now and its going well! I have great friends who always support me, and some adults at my church treat me like I'm their kid, so in a way I have like way more than 2 parents! Its kinda funny."

"Wow." Joe said shaking his head in amazement. "That must be really hard."

"Yeah, it is sometimes but I'm thankful for what I have and life is pretty good for the most part! I can't complain. Plus now that I'm a part of this tour, my life has just gotten a million times better!" She said laughing. "I'm honestly way too excited!"

"We're really excited to have you with us!" Joe said with a warm smile "We saw your audition tape and you're absolutely amazing!"

"Thanks! I don't know what it is about drumming, I just kind of lose myself. Its like, that one place where I feel like nothing can touch me, you know?"

They nodded in recognition of the feeling.
"Yeah for sure!" Nick said "I definitely know how that is."

"So do you have any interests other than drumming?" Kevin asked.

"Yeah I love anything to do with film. I love acting and directing and just anything in the film industry! I also do a bit of dance sometimes."

"Thats really sweet! I love dance too ya know!" Joe said a little too eagerly, and they all laughed.
