Why is it always about race? I'm black, and when I watch something that involves black people, that's funny, or embarrassing (usually both) people always connect it to race. When it's a white person doing the same thing, or something similar people never connect it to race.

@Jazy1993 Maybe there is some sexism, but like I said, it's a field dominated by men because they seem to be more interested in science & engineering.Not saying women our nonexistent in those areas of study,but they tend to be the exception.I'm just tired of the us vs them mentality amongst the genders.If men and women can't live together in peace & harmony, understanding we each have to make sacrifices and play our roles, our children and their future will be on the way to hell in a hand basket

@DirtyFaceCapon3 no speculation at all. Historians with an interest in gender and science have illuminated the scientific endeavors and accomplishments of women, recognicing them as a big part in the creation of modern knowledge.

since 1966 the number of women receiving education and degrees on engineering and science have been increasing. their accomplishment on hard sciences is still really low because of the still existent sexism on the society, which affects in colleges and work.

@Jazy1993 That's all speculation.Traditionally,wome­n have never really been interested in the hard sciences.Of course,there's always the very rare exceptions,but it's a field dominated by men.Even today,with women free 2 choose any career path they'd like,the majority still take no interest in the hard sciences.In most instances,women wait until men come up with the idea & build it from the ground up.Then women are hired 4 clerical/secretarial positions.Maybe even CEO in this day & age
