Kevin Talley Guitar Contest 2011 - Entry by Antti Oksanen

So I found about this contest from somebody who favorited the contest video and decided to enter because Kevin is amazing and the drum tracks sounded cool! So I made this all in the course of one day, simple arrangement so pretty easy to write riffs around it, I recommend everyone going to www.DrummerKevinTalley.com to get the drumtracks and enter the competition! Stylistically this is something like death metal meets your modern metal type of stuff, some goofing off while playing the breakdown parts :)

How tall are you man because when rusty holds that guitar the guitar looks pretty big but you make it look like a toy?

@GuitarBoyEvan 6,3" feet/ 192 cm, a lot taller than rusty anyways haha one of the major reasons why I dont play 6 strings is that most 6 strings do look like toys on me because of my height

@Jeijo1 I hate to say this because Kevin Talley was one of my biggest inspirations for a long time style-wise for a long time because of his work in Dying Fetus. They were one of my favorite. BUT Kevs style has changed a lot I've noticed. I think he veered more toward the melodic side of things which is why I think the winner was someone a little more on the melo side of DM. (Dont get me wrong, he's very skilled, but I think your riffs fit these tracks a lot better.)
