But I think my camera has only stereo setup - it's a Canon 60D.
Do you know how to setup 60D to record mono?

@vadim367 Hello- This is because of how your camera is set up. Set your camera so that it only records mono.

That's why I believe you can help me out with my problem:
I just bought the Sennheiser G2 and the problem is that the signal from the receiver goes only to the left channel.
My seller is trying to convince me that this is normal behavior, because Sennheiser is a MONO system.
Is it normal behavior? Or the receiver is defective?

Hey Ben, I'm having issues with my mic. It sounds really "muddy." I'm using it with my Canon 60D. I can't seem to get the audio setup right at all. It's either too loud or too low. Any suggestions?

@MichaelWarbux It is likely in the A/D conversion-- consider sending your audio to another separate recorder if possible and sync it later. Try reducing your mic gain so that its just below peaking. Then, work with the AF out to get a similar signal level on your camera.

@kotspot if the noise is in the radio transmission, try a new channel and increase the squelch (do an EZ setup and frequency scan). If the noise is from the ambient environment, work with a mic that has a tighter pickup pattern (ME 4, e845)
