http://www.greenpeace.org.au || Moe Parr is a seed cleaner in Indiana, USA. In February 2007, Monsanto initiated a law suit against him. The biotech company claimed that Moe had encouraged farmers of genetically engineered soybean to save their seed.

Moe is one of many farmers in North America who've faced coercion from Monsanto through legal and economic pressure.

"Monsanto doesn't really care that you win the case because as soon as you win the case, they're going on to the next court," says Moe.

Along with Canadian farmer Ross Murray, Moe is in Australia to speak with Australian farmers about his experiences with GE crops.

Support Australian farmers who don't want to grow GE crops by asking your government to:
* stay/go GE-free
* introduce strict liability law that puts the responsibility for contamination onto the GE seed companies.

Here's an online form to make it easy:

  • I found this after watching "Food Inc", I work in IT, and the parallels with software patents compared to patented seed are there. Just like you can't patent 2 + 2 = 4, the concept of pirating seed is ridiculous. because of the way nature works, HE MAY become an accidental 'pirate' and it's the onus is him to remove GM seed? ridiculous. Wind makes him a IP pirate? IP law in general causes way more problems than it solves.

  • Why are you posting comments in youtube? Armed with this information what Jury would convict you for demolishing these Monsanto Buildings? You owe it to your children to TAKE THEM OUT.

  • He admits pirating seed. This has been against the law since laws were written in most states.

    That is stealing folks.

Why are you supporting a thief?

  • Thanks Greenpeace Australia for making this video. Moe Parr is an important symbol of the struggle ongoing against the giant "M". I live in central Indiana and will be hearing Moe speak about his experience in a few weeks. I'm told his message will include a summary of his struggles with M, but he moves on to concentrate on the subjects of sustainable living and local food. I'm looking forward to his talk.

  • I simply cannot fathom how a seed is now a "Product"... we have become a truly twisted race of animals driven by greed and fear.

  • this is horrible. We have to unite and stop this monstor. I just googled organic seeds and found a lot of sites to order from. You can find one of the sites that have the organic seeds and double check with them personally if they are indeed Non G. modified.

Be sure and post this video on Facebook and other public sites.

  • Its okay. They will pay their price when the day comes.

  • @lisakaylanemorris

the 5 for a $ are Syngenta's NK seeds and the other sells seed with Herculex technology.

I don't care what any internet source says, neither company is owned by Monsanto.

    Les
