@LumpyAdams Im not a BJ Penn fan, but I see some skills in the guy, but I am starting to see that he is getting opportunity after opportunity and doesn't get the job done. Besides, that comment was like 3 years ago when I was still two years fresh in MMA. In 2011, I can say that BJ Penn needs to get the title job done

@KoRStriderPhoenix looking back from two years ago, I can now see how much publicity is needed, While I still decree that he is a excellent fighter, I've been starting to see last year that he is getting too many opportunities. Damn, he HAS been going around losing fights and getting title fights

Know what's funny about BJ fans? They say he deserved title shots for "working his ass off" yet when he loses, they say "oh, his mind wasn't in training."
Hah, greatness.

penn would body aoki. he got knocked out by sakurai for fuck sake. bj would dominate anywhere the fight would go.

Going by wins and results alone is an inherently flawed method of ranking/rating a fighter, because it "forces" a person to overlook other factors which are critical in conducting an accurate evaluation. Sure, wins and results part of the criteria used to form such decisions, but they should not be relied upon solely, while omiting other critical factors.

Anderson Silva got a title shot his second fight in the UFC, and just prior to fighting Irvin, would've with out a doubt, gotten a shot at the lhw title right off the bat, if that's what he would have wanted. GSP, for a 100% fact, would get an immediate title shot at ww if that's what he wanted. Dan Henderson came from Pride and immediately got "2" title shots his first two fights. Fedor would get an immediate title shot. Vitor's getting one after one fight. You're absolutely wrong about BJ.

Couldn't do it. I listened to two minutes, discovered nothing of value, and decided to spare myself the other eight minutes.
Too long... too little content... get to the fuckin' point.

dumb fuckin haole u dnt really know shit. bj is da best p4p fighter in the world.the only reason why bj has loses on his record in the ufc is because he didnt train at all (even then, it was still a close fight if he loss) or it was plain ol dog shit (jens pulver)...all i know is bj is going to rock gsp's world in ufc 94 because he is in shape this time around and just plain better all around. da ony thing gsp has over him is athleticism...but dat aint close to enough for coming close to bj.

"The guy was 2-3 in his last 3 fights."
I don't think that's statistically possible.
Personally, as a MMA fighter, I think that you're just being a hater on BJ Penn. The kid has a lot of talent and can sure defeat his victims easily in the Octagon. The only reason he has been "handed" title fights is because he works his ass off and wins.
Don't be hating on someone who is one of the best lightweights today and better than you by a long shot of the way.
Personally, this video is pointless, you're just acting like a ass on the web, and you're a ass clown.

I am not hating on him as a fighter... I even stated he is as good as most say he is. But no matter how good you are, to be handed a title shot over people who had legitmate wins at that weight division while you had a simple win over a guy who was coming off a more devistating loss is crap. If he were the same talent and was named John Smith he wouldnt have gotten crap. But because he is "BJ Penn" people seem to think it is ok. Well I don't, I think it is too much like boxing politics.
