(LYRICS, TRANSLATION &VIDEO) As no video was available on Y T, and love to this rare and fascinating hindi song by Surinder Kaur Ji forced me to compile a video on my favorite couple Madhubala and Dilip Kumar. This mesmerizing and relishing poetry of the song is written by Dina Nath Madhok and beautiful melody is composed by Gyan Dutt Ji - one of the greatest music directors of his time for the movie Naa'o.

THE LYRICS WITH POSSIBLE TRANSLATION ARE:

Ek nazar woh yaad hai unki,
(I still remember his that "gaze",
Jiss ne dil par waar kiya,
which smashed into my heart!)

Ek nazar woh yaad hai unki -----------

Ek nazar abb dekh key roouN,
(I am lamenting to that "look",
Haaye re dil kyuN piyar kiya,
that why did I surrender to love!)

Ek nazar woh yaad hai -----------

Ek nazar ne, ek nayii duniya hi basa di merey liye,
(That one stare changed whole of my life!),
Ek nazar ne sari duniya, se hum ko beizaar kiya,
(That look made me disgusted from whole of the world!)

Ek nazar woh yaad hai -----------

Ek nazar mein, sou sou armaN daikhey theh unn ankhooN meiN,
Through that look, I saw hundreds of dreams in those eyes!)
Unn ankhooN ki ek nazar ne, jeena bhi dushwaar kiya,
(One stare of those eyes, made my life so difficult!)

Ek nazar woh yaad hai unki,
Jiss ne dil par waar kiya,
Ek nazar woh yaad hai......

  • @56riazali

Dear Riaz Sahib, you have described the song so beautifully in poetry to add more mysterious feelings of the song.

  • Dear Mukhtar

This is my earnest request to u to kindly spare originality of video and not remix them. This likes Jhankar in songs which ruined the beauty and work of original artists who devoted their life.

    Thanx

  • @Pashambay

Dear Baloch Sahib, I do not waste my time and energy on the songs where original video are available. Even in this case, audio with picture (which is usually the way) was not available on YouTube. If you have with you, pl upload it. You should be obliged that I have introduced such a rare gem in the video form, and reintroduced Surinder Kaur ji as a singer of beautiful Hindi songs.

    Thanks and regards

    Mukhtar

  • Another stunning piece of re-writing film history!

I am going to see and hear this many times.

What a voice, what a mysterious feeling this whole song has.

And the way you fit the expressions of my idol Madhubala, the innocence, surprise, emotion, melancholy,to this powerful voice of Surinder-ji,bless her soul......We can only look forward to your next work of image magic.

There is an eager public waiting for you!

  • @madhubala2009

  • Great video creation. Perfect matching between timeless nostalgic voice of Surinder Kaur and beautiful images of Madhubala/Dilip. Only a person gifted with poetic rhytm could realize such a marvel. Thank you.

  • Please please kindly indicate If it is a remix . and Not Original . Some of the listeners like me are interested on the DATA Collection of the Artist . We are not able to know / identify it is picturised on the shown Actor or not. O.K. Your taste of remix is enjoyed by many . But at the same time you present the original also . Kindly preserve the originality whether it is good or bad. - Arani Apparao-Hyderabad-A.P.
