The Conservatives' new video claims history shows that they're a progressive force. If anything, it shows the opposite.

It will be interesting to see how the Lib Dems airbrush history in about 5 years time after they've put millions on the dole by supporting Cameron's cuts, after they've denied basic services to vulnerable people by cutting council spending, after they've helped the Tories tip us into a double dip recession and for what? - A half hearted promise for a referendum on a voting system that is not even half proportional and a big fancy office for lightweight Clegg to strutt around in.

The Conservative Party fought tooth and nail to sell Britain down the river of EEC membership in 1973. Margaret Thatcher campaigned vigously for the 'YES' campaign to EEC membership during the referendum of 1975 - even though she knew the terrible financial cost of EEC membership. In 1992 the Tories signed the Treaty of Maastricht committing Britain to the hopelssly corrupt and criminal led EU project. Hang on though, Labour and LibDems are even more treasonous.

Il do it on my own, what I do object to is any government presuming that my hard earn taxes should be wasted on foreigners. @alexandertory well that might of been the only half decent thing she done. Unless you could count bankrupting Northern England and Scotland, as well as creating mass unemployment (by shutting down heavy industries) then forcing them to work in government employment programs for minimum wage, creating a reliance on foreign energy sources, stopping free milk for school kids ect I don't like the IRA, but the only decent thing they did was bombing Margaret Milksnatcher but even then they failed.

Why don't most people remember it was the Conservatives who got us involved in Iraq in the first place? My husband was in the RAF and we had never left Iraq since the Conservatives got us involved as we were the second largest force there.

If it wasn't for Labour I would never have had the chance to have a degree with the Open University. I had an awful state education when the Conservatives were in power so years later at least I get another chance with the OU.
