Imo "trying to stop the waves behind your eyeballs" is trying to stop the sadness, or tears as Jager adds with waves. The lyrics before it seem to point to this, "wading through the waste, stormy winter, and there isnt a friend to help you through." Those lyrics seem to symbolize a person who is pretty down and lonely.

It's "trying to stop the waves behind your eyeballs". Meaning TOO much drugs and not enough sleep...so you gotta "drop your reds and drop your greens and blues" a.k.a PILLS :)

The clapping makes this work live. They did SV in Boston on the last tour and it just kind of sagged.

Is there anyone contemporary that can even sit in the audience, let alone get on stage w/ these mates in 2010? How old are they, 27, 28, maybe Charlie or Bill are in their early 30's? I mean, WOW!

I was at the R&R Hall of Fame Museum in Cleveland two years ago and they had a display of old Rolling Stone magazines. On the cover of one from the early 70s there were pictures of a few famous musicians, one of which was Mick Jagger. It said, "These stars are approaching there 30s; can they survive past that?"

LOL!!
